Feel like a country drive to a picturesque setting that feels more like mountain foothills instead of flat Florida? Zen by the Lake is located in the area known as the Brooksville Ridge, which is a collection of ridges that range from 60 to over 200 feet above sea level. It is presumed that the clay soil protected the underlying limestone from dissolution from water, allowing the hills to remain.
Your journey will take you to Middle Lake Park. The park incorporates 200 acre Middle Lake, a fishing pier, boat ramp, shore fishing, wildlife viewing, and a picnic table. At GZ you will find a cache with a small removable container. Take the time after getting the smiley to get your Zen on...relax, cast a line, have a picnic, or bring a camera/spotting scope for the outstanding birding opportunities at this beautiful lake.
