I do like a road trip, especially when I am exploring historical areas in Australia. My latest venture was along the Murray-Darling River and I usually love to send a postcard back home. Some of the places I called into on this trip included the lovely area of Yarrawonga, but I then had to make a quick mercy dash back to Canberra to rescue a friend in need. At last I continued the journey onto Wentworth where I really enjoyed the junction of the Murray-Darling Rivers. Then back home via Echuca – what a great place where all the rivers run and some great renovations have occurred.
On my second journey I started at Echuca and had the best dining and cruising experience on the river that I have had for a long time, before calling in at Renmark to see the sights. Next stop was Swan Hill where once I had enjoyed a great place to eat, but unfortunately it is now undergoing major renovation and all I could do was think about how good it will once again be one day. Next stop was down to Mannum in South Australia then finally Echuca again for a longer look at a very old piece of river history.
I look forward to more trips in the future.
Congratulations to Minniek on FTF.
