This is a two stage multi located at and around Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children near Uptown, Dallas. Created in 1921 to fight the polio virus, the hospital transitioned toward healing children with mainly orthopedic conditions. The hospital is run by the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry in Texas. In 1965, Dr. Luke Waites "established a program at the hospital to identify and treat children with learning disorders, primarily dyslexia. In 1968, the World Federation of Neurology met at Scottish Rite Hospital, where the first consensus definition of developmental dyslexia was developed." In 2018, the hospital expanded to a Frisco campus to specialize in sports injuries and rehabilitation. According to their website Scottish Rite "has treated more than 275,000 children since it's inception."
One of those children was me! My parents first brought me here as an infant in 1998. I had two surgeries and countless clinic visits during my 17 years here as a patient. Every staff member, volunteer and doctor was exceptionally kind.

Both stages are accessible by foot or car. There is parking right off Maple for the hospital but I cannot guarantee you'll find a spot. There is also parking by the Rec Center at Reverchon.
