Kont taf li l-kappella ta Bir Miftuħ ma nafux meta nbniet ezatt? Li hu zgur hu li fl-1436 kienet ssemmiet bħala waħda mit-tnax il-parroċċi eżistenti F'Malta mill-Isqof Senatore de Mello u baqgħet isservi bħala Parroċċa sas-1676, sa ma nbniet il-knisja l-ġdida tal-Gudja.
Minn Bir Miftuħ ħarġu diversi parroċċi oħra, fosthom Ħal Kirkop, Ħal Safi, l-Imqabba, Ħal Tarxien, Ħal Luqa, Ħal Farruġ u Birżebbuġa. Dawn huma kollha parroċċi tipiċi Maltin li jinsabu biss 5-10 minuti ’l bogħod mill-Gudja. Ta’ min iżurhom ukoll.

Did you know that it’s not known when exactly the Bir Miftuħ chapel was built? What is certain is that in 1436 it was mentioned by the Bishop Senatore de Mello as one of the 12 existing parishes in Malta and that it served as a parish until 1676, when the new church in Gudja was then built.
Out of Bir Miftuħ a lot of other parishes formed, namely: Ħal Kirkop, Ħal Safi, l-Imqabba, Ħal Tarxien, Ħal Luqa, Ħal Farruġ and Birżebbuġa. These are all typical Maltese parishes which are found only 5 to 10 minutes away from Gudja. They’re definitely worth a visit as well.
