A regular cache hidden beside the spillway (well it sort of looks and rhymes with slip sliding away, quit giving me grief about it!) at the Mangatawhiri Dam. This dam has quite a big capacity and provides lots of water to Auckland, up to some of Aucklan'd daily requirements. Yep, if you want those details and more yourself, there's some great signage at the other end of the dam wall.
At time of placement of this cache, the dam level was down a bit, and there was no slip sliding away to be seen, just dry rough ouchy concrete. Obviously no matter what, do not attempt to slip slide away here!
Cache is a 1.2 litre sistema container with logbook and pen. Please don't take the pen. Please do rehide the cache properly so that it is not casually seen. Where it is, it is nicely tucked away from the weather, and you will be too when you find it!
