Welcome to the Hatea River track that follows the Hatea River and can be walked all the way from the Whangarei Falls down to the Town Basin. Several gates and fences have been removed during the track's building stages, but this one remains.
The track is regularly used by many people getting their exercise quota in for the day.
Just another simple quick cache to add to your stats, but because of the numbers of people using this track, please use the neccessary caution and stealth, before retrieving the log and then perhaps move away a few metres to sign the log, before picking your time carefully to replace.
