Mount Hood is a great public park in the City of Melrose. It has a golf course and walking trials. The park was built as a depression era project in the 1930s. There used to be a ski area and a toboggan run. While the ski area no longer exists, kids flock to the many hills in the winter for sledding.
You can find the cache on the right side of the path as you walk up from the parking lot to Slayton Tower and the top of Mount Hood.
