Geocache Description:

Cloch Corr Standing Stone is mentioned in a book by the late RJ McLean entitled The old meeting House at Carland. This egg shaped stone is 5'9" in height and 3'4" across. Set in a well defined carn and appears to face west. The only standing stone in the area but has no Ogham mark's ( Line alphabet used in ancient Ireland.) It is believed to be an original boundary marker as 4 townlands converge in the very near vicinity. The cache is placed down the road approx. 70 yard's as there is nowhere to stop directly at the stone. Unfortunatly it is badly overgrown around it and best viewed from the field side. Should be quick cache and dash. BYOP.
