Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
Great location, but not easy to drive to (although there is a road there) -- within walking distance -- small hill to climb so i have upped the Terrain Rating--easy to walk to--NOT easy to drive by and see -- sorry NOT wheelchair accessible but if you have a camera you could take a picture of it to show others --!!
DO NOT EMAIL YOUR FIND TO ME !!!!!!!!!! PLEASE !!!!!!!! Gesh
I get double logs when you do that !!!!!!!!
I would like for you to put, for YOUR LOG on this cache on this web site (DO NOT email me with your find), what kind of GPS unit you were using (be it a GPS or now days an IPhone), how close was it to the actual lat/lon (meaning how far off was it ??), and did you find this helpful to know how close your GPS unit was ?? This will help others figure out what kind of GPS's and/or IPhones are worth getting for accuracy. And any other particulars you care to note about GPS's and/or IPhones
This virtual cach is dedicated to John M. Phippin that worked in the Geodetic survey field most of his life and probably knows more about GPS'ing than anyone (see the memorial next to the site).
This link should take you to the Benchmark/Memorial for more information about the Benchmark --
There are 90 Bench Marks with in a 10 mile radius of Cheyenne--have fun--!!!!!!! Ya just never know where they might take you also !!
Happy geocaching and Benchmark hunting
