The posted coordinates take you to Quanah Parker Arrow where there is a stone marker that has information needed to solve for the final location.
The cache is locted at N 34° 59.134' W 101° 42.XXX. To Solve XXX Use the number of letters of the Indian tribe, (the name is plural), and multiply x 28, then subtract that from the West coordinates 552. The cache is 1 mile to the east of here before the entry to PDC.
No one from the pages of Indian history carries more clout or mystique than the name of Quanah Parker, last chief of the Comanches. In war, his equal was never seen, but when the inevitable “taming of the west” ensued in the late 1870s, he transferred that war chief ability into a positive force that would shape his Comanche people and the entire future of Indian law and religion. What started out as a group of enthusiastic regional citizens interested in telling the fascinating story of Cynthia Ann and Quanah Parker turned into a public art and commemorative project to mark the sites of Native history in the former Comancheria. Since 2011, the Texas Plains Trail Region's Quanah Parker Trail Steering Committee has facilitated the research about these sites, and overseen installation of more than 70 arrows marking the nearly forgotten-to-public-memory history of the Native American Comanche presence in the Texas Panhandle, predating the arrival of Anglo ranchers and settlers.
