A micro log-only cache hidden on the AHET. If you look towards the creek, you will seen the remnants of the Empire Loom Works, this former factory once built 150 looms a month. It later became a yarn factory and eventually demolished. The AHET trail continues on road north of here.

Trail Overview
This 11-mile Empire State Trail section is part of the 36-mile Albany-Hudson Electric Trail, which runs from the City of Hudson to the City of Rensselaer. The off-road “AHET” Trail, starts in Greenport at the intersection of Route 9 and Delaware Ave, and heads northeast past woods, streams, wetlands, farm lands, and small hamlets. The segment ends at Rothermel Park in the Village of Kinderhook. This segment is primarily an off-road rail-trail with a stonedust surface, welcoming walkers and bicyclists of all abilities.
