An important aspect of managing COVID-19 is an accurate and quick diagnosis. Â Medical Diagnostic companies like Abbott nearby this cache have developed several different ways of detecting SARS-CoV-2 depending on what your doctor is looking for. Â If they want to know about your current infection they might order a molecular diagnostic test (yes that is the super fun swab up the nose!), but if they want to know about past infection or disease status they might order an antigen/antibody test (blood test). Â Both have very important roles in the fight against COVID-19!
fun fact: this cache is the same colour as the biohazard bins in a laboratory.
