We are still aching from the hike not realizing how far we were going to go. But it was worth the hike and we all enjoyed the day.
Park in the North Galena Park horse trailer area and follow the Jones White trail loop all the way to the stash. Because this hike is so long and the altitude change is so high we decided to not make it too difficult to find.
We placed a tupperware container in a hollow tree stump near the waters edge. Toy Jeep, Beanie Baby, Toy Dump Truck, Golf Balls, Koosh Pig, and Eugene Upshaw Oakland Raider Football Card from the 70's.
Be prepared with plenty of water and snacks. We suggest taking the hike in the morning with a picnic lunch. Get to the pond and relax with your lunch. Then start back down the hill. I doubt there are fish in the pond but you might want to try your luck.
At Galena Park there is a sign saying it is a 9.2 mile loop. We didn't have time to go around the remainder of the loop. After getting to the stash you may want to.
