Geocache Description:

This cache is located in the heart of Summers County, the area where the New River and Greenbrier River flow together. Learn about what Hinton has to offer at this location. This cache is small and the area is very frequented by muggles. Please return the cache to the location where you found it so others can enjoy the find.

New River is considered by some geologists to be one of the oldest rivers in the world and certainly one of the oldest rivers in North America. The New River flows in a generally south-to-north course. It may have been in its present course for at least 65 million years.

The Greenbrier River is a tributary of the New River, 162 miles long, in southeastern West Virginia.

Enjoy views of the Bluestone Dam while you're in the area.
