Madison Avenue Central Park opened in October 2016. The park offers a central meeting place for residents with two event venues, an all-access playground and splash pad, an amphitheater, and a half-mile path for hiking and biking.
The park sits on the site of the former St. Mary Church and School. The city purchased the nine-acre property to develop a central park.
This is a unique 2 stage multi-cache. The first stage takes you to a mural. I could not find anything about the mural, however, it is a very unique mural with animals native to the area playing with toys from our past. Here is the tricky part...the mural is on the north side of the park in the playground facing south. Does that make sense??? There is a wall on the northside of the playground. The wall is facing south, yes you will have to go into the playground to look at the mural! Maybe bring your kids along with you, or your grandkids, or maybe nieces, nephews, younger cousins so you don't stick out!
The coordinates to stage two are N 37. 32. ABC -097 15.DEF
Now back to the mural:
A: Find the mice with the dice and monopoly pieces: Add the visible dice dots you see to get A. (Do not use the 5 dotted side!) Update: 7-26-21
B: Find the snake with the marbles: The total number of marbles within the snake part is B.
C: Find the rabbits with the barrel of monkeys: The total number of rabbit eyes you see is C.
D: Find the owls with the letter: There is a letter addressed to "Derby Visitor Centre" There are two numbers in the P.O. box number. The second number is D.
E: Find the fox with the magnifying glass and "Top Secret" envelope: The total number of words on the top line of the "Top Secret" Envelope is E.
F: Find the frogs and the turtle with the slippers, crown, and clock. The number the hour hand is pointing to is F.
Good luck and hope you make the find!
