Geocache Description:

As many local geocachers know, I often use peanut butter jars as geocache containers.  I wash them out thoroughly of course, and then soak them in a solution of bleach and water for several hours.

I saw a discussion on Facebook where a number of people voiced their opinion that containers that previously contained food products should NEVER be used as geocache containers.  Although I have used peanut butter jars as geocache containers successfully for several years, I decided to add one more step to my cleaning process--  After washing and soaking them as usual, I ran them through the dishwasher.

The result is the oddly shaped container that you'll find at the posted coordinates.  I guess peanut butter jars are NOT top-rack dishwasher safe if you use the heated drying cycle.

Oops.
