Geocache Description:

Situated in the Northern Rivers of NSW, the biggest river on the east coast of Australia, the Clarence River, flows through the entire Clarence Valley to meet the sea at Yamba. I've placed some caches about the area to showcase the picturesque peacefulness of the farms and communities here in the 'Big River' estuary region. Be a bit stealthy & watchful for snakes anywhere near the waterways.

BYOP. Watch the geokids.

This Big River Series (BRS) cache is located at the Ulmarra Recreation Ground. This was originally owned by Thomas Small. and was Gazetted a as ''Small Park'' on 14 July 1893:

14 July 1893: Land parcel resumed for public recreation on 10 January 1893 by Government Gazette notice and hereafter described, to be a public park within the meaning of the “Public Parks Act 1884,” and that it be known by the name “Small Park, Ulmarra” (NSW GG 1893b).

It is possible to retrieve and replace this one without climbing over or under. Bring your coffee or a picnic. If you see the cache guardian (aka Fred the Frog) hiding in the same place as he was when we hid the container, give him a little wave and leave him alone, I am sure he'll appreciate your discretion.

ALLERGY NOTICE: one of the two nearby trees is hosing a nest of European Honey Bees (with stings). Please exercise the usual care.
