Messick Point is a well-kept secret in the Poquoson community. For the commercial fishermen, it provides safe harbor for their work boats and easy access to their fishing areas. You might also find pet owners walking their dog(s) and enjoying the fresh air, peace and wide-open space of this area. There is plenty of parking close by and while here, check out the Watermen Monument nearby.
This cache is located along the way to Messick Point. This particular area is known to flood during the Nor’easter storms common, so extra precautions have been taken to keep this cache dry. Sorry, only room for the log. Please replace cache as found so others can enjoy.
Easy parking nearby for safety of geocachers. But depending upon the time of day, there could be plenty of muggles traveling by. So stealth is extremely important!
