Messick Point is a well-kept secret in the Poquoson community. For the commercial fishermen, it provides safe harbor for their work boats and easy access to their fishing areas. You might also find pet owners walking their dog(s) and enjoying the fresh air, peace and wide-open space of this area. There is plenty of parking close by and while here, check out the Watermen Monument nearby.
This cache is located next to the parking lot for the Messick Point boat launch. Depending upon the time of day, there could be plenty of muggles. Luckily, the location provides some protection from the prying eyes of passing muggles. Still, stealth is important! Be ever careful of potential muggles, enjoy the view and have fun with this and other caches in the Poquoson community.
