Geocache Description:

This geocache is being hidden in honor of Thomas Lewis. He was born in 1755 and participated in the American Revolutionary  War against Great Britain. He married Hannah Hopkins who is buried next to him 50 feet from where this geocache is hidden. Thomas and Hannah had several children maybe close to 15. Through genealogy My father has traced us back to Thomas Lewis and Hannah Hopkins from three of the sons.

Hannah's father was a British sympathizer and he would steal horses away from the colonists. Hannah's own brother Gardner Hopkins fought  along side Thomas Lewis. Thomas Lewis and Gardner Hopkins were among the first families to enter what  is now known as Morgan County, Kentucky

if you google the Tori Bandit you might see more information about Hannah's father!

The father eventually was hung.

The cache is not more then 20 feet from the mowed area where Thomas and Hannah are buried. Park at the suggested parking coordinates and huff and puff your way UP the hill.

WARNING: this is snake country so watch where you walk and watch where you place your hands!

not intended to be a difficult hide! GPS accuracy may be an issue. Not many places to hide a small container!
