
Rosita
Rosita is a turquoise, bilingual monster, fluent in Spanish and English. She was originally introduced as a cave dwelling monster and had wings to help her glide--and also help her give very big hugs. Rosita plays guitar and is good with history and geography. Rosita debuted on Sesame Steet in 1991.
Sesame Street debuted as an educational television program for preschoolers in 1969. The show uses a combination of puppets, animation and live actors in short vignettes to teach reading, counting and math, cognitive processes, classification and basic life skills. In 2019, to celebrate the 50th Anniverary of Sesame Street, the US Postal Service released a sheet of stamps featuring 16 of the most popular and endearing Sesame Street puppets. This series of caches features these lovable, well-known characters.
