In 1721 a young Captain by the name of Fowl went to sea to follow their dreams of adventure, gold and fame. After achieving all three, the Captain sailed back to Norfolk to hide their ill gotten booty. Unfortunately the captain never made it back to shore and on their death bed entrusted a loyal cabin boy to hide the treasure. Legend has it that the young lad misheard the captain and instead of burying the chest in Holkham, which is on the coast, buried it in Hockham. The treasure has been forgotten and presumed lost.
