Cascade Park, created in 1897, is currently a nature park, but was formerly an amusement park. Amongst the primary rides in the park was the centerpiece roller coaster known as the Comet. One year after the park opened, the first ever roller coaster was installed. Throughout the history of the park, there were a total of three coasters; none of which existed at the same time. The highlight of this geocache is the third of those coasters. To learn a bit more about the Comet, you will very likely need to do some simple research. This research will help you find the coordinates for this hide. When searching, you will be able to see multiple remnants of the coaster, along with other artifacts of amusement park history. Please obey all park rules and only search during daylight hours. You can utilize the checker on the cache page.
