The toast
During the reception it is customary to toast
or bless the couple. This could be done by
a number of people. The father of the bride.
The best man or maid of honor. Sometimes
the groom will toast his bride.
My blessing for the couple is an Irish poem.
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
the rain fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
may God hold you in the palm of his hand..
