Getting this cache will bring you along the Brinkmans Trail to the Vernal Pond Trail, which leads to what is known as Pratt's Point. There is a small stone structure on near the corner that used to hold a sign informing passersby about the Pratt Area of GFSP. Remnants of the sign may still be in place. I have searched the area around the structure for more of the sign, but was unable to find anything. The cache is not in the stone structure, but it is close by in a place that most experienced geocachers will recognize. Please rehide very well to keep out of sight from curious muggle eyes.
The geocaching.com app has a nice map of the trails at Marshy Point. Marshy Point has its own map, colorful and detailed, available outside the Nature Center building, or online here. Information about Marshy Point is available on their website.
Be sure to check for other caches in the area while visiting Marshy Point. There is always a chance you might run into local geocaching legend Death Wish Dave here at Marshy Point. He is a volunteer here and active in the scouting program at Marshy Point.
Don't forget CITO while you are hiking the trails. The park is generally very litter-free, but every little bit helps.
Congratulations to IMSpider for FTF, second of the day here.
