Yana Yirabana is the name of the nature reserve where this cache is hidden. It means "walk this way" in Darug, the local indigenous language. It is also the starting point of the Redbank Track, which is a 3.5km return walk along Toongabbie Creek comprised of a rocky dirt path and wooden boardwalk. After climbing the stairs, the path is adjacent to a Coca Cola Amatil plant. The cache is located close to the start of the track, not far from where the Rogans Hill Railway Line operated between 1923 and 1932. It was used to transport passengers and goods between 11 stations until it was rendered obsolete by motor vehicles. Concrete piers which were once connected by a bridge across the river are the only remaining features of the railway line. You can often see Australian Wood Ducks in the creek from the viewing platform where the bridge once stood.
The track is shaded by Forest Red Gums and Rough-barked Apple trees, but the cache is not hidden in this vegetation. There is a pen and limited room for swaps in the container. Please return it exactly as found.
