We are very excited to share with you our first geocache hide!
This cache is placed in a layby off the main A4 Bath Road. It is very easy to pull in if you are in a car, but sometimes the area gets flooded so you may need wellies. The layby is used for a lot of lorry drivers and is busy on car boot sale days so watch out for muggles!
If you are walking, it is in close proximity to the Jubilee River and the Thames where there are many other great geocaches.
The cache is placed with kind permission from the Thames Valley Adventure Playground for children and adults with and without special needs. The site used to be an old gravel pit which belonged to Summerleaze. It covers over two acres and Summerleaze generously leased the land for a peppercorn rent of £1 a year.
The cache lives on the playground’s land but must be accessed through the boundary fence.
Please ensure the cache is returned safely so that it will work for the next finder.
This cache used to be a puzzle one with a lock box but the box got stolen twice so now it's a bit of fun but no puzzle as such.
Congratulations to Greenwood_1 for the FTF!!
Happy Hunting!
