John Stanfield (May 18, 1868 – January 22, 1934) was an industrialist and political figure in Nova Scotia. He represented Colchester in the House of Commons of Canada from 1907 to 1917 as a Conservative member and served as Chief Government Whip from 1911 to 1917 when he retired from the House of Commons.
Stanfield then sat for Colchester division in the Senate of Canada from 1921 to 1934.
His house:The Queen Anne revivalstyle building was constructed for John Stanfield in 1902. After Stanfield’s death, it went on to become a rooming house, an apartment building and then housed professional offices.
