This is one of over 50 caches placed for the 2021 Waukesha Janboree. The theme this year is Once Upon a Time. This cache is located in Waukesha's Missile Park which was the former Nike Missile Launch site with the designation M-74. This is one of 8 Nike Missile sites in the Milwaukee that were in operation during the cold war. This is one of only two of the eight sites that were in operation for the entire 1956-1971 timeframe. It was also one of three of the Milwaukee area sites that was convered from Ajax to Hercules missiles. The Integrated Fire Control (IFC) or Command and Control site is located 1 mile north in Hillcrest Park.
This is a relatively simple and easy 2 stage Multi.
You will see a building to the right as you enter the park. The building was a reinforced crew quarters building that was builit in 1964. You are not required to enter the building to find the cache, but it's a pretty cool place to explore if you want to take the time and witness some history from the Cold War.
If you would like to read more about the Nike Missile site, I found this link which has a pretty thorough background. http://www.nikemissile.com/page1.html
