This cache is being placed in celebration of my retiring from thirty years of teaching here in North Idaho. I always told the kids that someday I would hide a cache for them. Now I finally have time!
I taught over 2,000 students between Bonners Ferry, Fernan Elementary and finally at Skyway Elementary School. During that time I had the pleasure of teaching hundreds of elementary students to geocache. I had geocaching clubs and lead family field trips, sent out class travel bugs for students to track, and loved sharing stories of my caching adventures. I really loved sharing the adventure and skills of geocaching with kids!
In the spirit of working with the children, this is a family friendly cache. It’s a full sized ammo can that is full of goodies to bring back the joy in finding fun stuff. I sincerely hope visitors will remember to leave items when taking swag so we can keep this a fun one for the kids.

**Cache is located off a dirt path that is flat and easy to walk, but then a little bushwhacking is required to get to the cache itself. Park st the barricades at the road for the walk to GZ. You’re looking for a full sized ammo box hidden, but not hidden too hard. It’s easy enough for the kiddos to find.
