An excellent shelter; strong, great view, and tight enough to keep you dry (if there’s rain, but no wind) and safe from larger predators.
Tight enough that you’re looking for a camoed micro here, bigger than a bison tube, but smaller than a film canister.
At the cache site, you’ll find two rocks—a ‘round’ one close to a metre in diameter with moss growing on top, and a flatter but longer one, mostly covered with moss, and sitting between the round one and a tree.
Only one offers shelter space to match the title. Choose wisely, and search gently
Note that while dogs on leash are welcome on this trail, they are not permitted on the side trail containing the three other Survival caches in this short series (Nos. 11, 12 & 13) due to the proximity of that trail to the Heritage Farm location.
