THIS CACHE IS NOT LOCATED AT THE POSTED COORDINATES!!! However, they are a good place to park to start the adventure you will have to embark on to get the right coordinates.
In order to get the coordinates for this cache, you will have to complete the adventure lab entitled "Statues of Baylor University." If you've never done an adventure lab before, they're a series of virtual caches that are designed to take you on a tour of a particular area. Currently, there are four in the Waco area. The one you'll need to complete to get the coordinates will, as the name implies, take you on a tour of the statues around the Baylor campus. Since I could only give the adventure lab 5 stages, but there are more than 5 statues on campus, if you walk to the bonus cache from the stage where you get the coordinates, you will pass by a few other statues. On your right once you cross the bridge, you will see a pair of statues that are among Baylor's newest. Unveiled in November 2020, these statues honor Lt. Jack Lummus and Col. John Kane, both Baylor alumni and World War II heroes. To the left, you will see the statue of Robert Griffin III, Baylor's only Heisman Trophy winner.
To complete the adventure lab, you'll need to get the separate adventure lab app.
You can get the app for iPhone here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/adventure-lab/id1412140803?ls=1&mt=8
For Android here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.groundspeak.react.adventures
If you've already completed the lab, open the app, find the lab, tap "View 5 Journal Entries," then swipe left until you find the slide with the coordinates. If you can't find it on your map, tap "Profile" in the bottom right corner, then "Settings" and then tap the switch next to "Hide completed."
Please use stealth when hunting this cache. The stadium area is a popular area for people to walk and play throughout the year, especially when the weather is nice. PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT on football gamedays (Saturdays in the fall; in 2023, they are on 9/2, 9/9, 9/16, 9/23, 10/7, 10/28, 11/4, and 11/25). There will be too many people around, and no amount of stealth will prevent you from being seen.
This cache isn't the most spectacular ending to the adventure lab, and I apologize for that, but I really wanted to bring you to this area to see these additional statues, and this was the best place to do so. This one's more about what's nearby than the cache itself.
Congratulations to LukeDay228 for FTF!!
