Huangsha Wharf, despite its name, is located at the western end of Shamian Island. It serves as a ferry terminal connecting Shamian to Fangcun, providing convenient access for pedestrians to the Baiertan Greater Bay Area Art Center, inaugurated in 2024. The wharf can be reached via a discreet pedestrian path tucked beside the multi-level parking structure. This structure was constructed to compensate for parking spaces lost during the 2019 transformation of former parking lots into public plazas—a decision that has greatly revitalized Shamian Island by eliminating interior parking and reducing traffic circulation, creating a more vibrant and pedestrian-friendly environment.
