This geocache is located adjacent to the Greenwood Urban Wetland and Lake Haven, and jewel in the heart of Orlando. What most people don't know is this are was once a dumping ground for the city's expansion of Highway 408 and other projects. According to long-time residents of the area, instead of the beautiful lake/wetland area it was full of all sorts of construction and foliage debris. It wasn't until 1991 that the site was cleared and reclaimed for the purpose of creating the wetland and park. The sidewalk surrounding the lake is one-half mile around which makes it ideal for walkers and joggers. Have fun and enjoy this treasure of Orlando!
