Geocache Description:

Another cache named after a song. Yeah, I love music.

When I was wandering along the trail looking for a place to hide another cheap container for you to find using multi billion dollar technology, I was thinking of Neil Young songs. I stopped at this spot. Because this location "overlooks" the river, his song, "Down by the River" came to mind. It was first released on Neil Young's 1969 album with Crazy Horse, Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere. He initially claimed that he wrote it while delirious in bed in Topanga Canyon with a 103 °F (39 °C) fever.  Regardless, one of the most amazing features of the song is the guitar solo where the same staccato note is repeated 38 times. The song lends itself to amazing live performances. With a backup band, Young once stretched this song out to over 27 minutes! It has been covered by such musicians as, Roy Buchanan, The Meters, The String Cheese Incident, Dave Mathews Band, Indigo Girls, Inner Circle, Tall Firs, McKendree Spring, MIchael McDonald, The Mother Hips, The Sheepdogs, Norman Whitfield and, Buddy Miles.   Robert Plant borrows the line, "Be on my side, I'll be on your side, there is no reason for you to hide," in the live versions of "Dazed and Confused" and "How Many More Times".

This can be a fairly high muggle area so please keep that in mind when looking for the cache. If you find a zip tie as well, just ignore it. Long story.

Most of all, have fun!

Congrats to TheBoz5 and Desafio for the FTF!!!

Rock ON!!!
