Welcome to the original location of a Magazine Subscription Company that had a Sweepstakes that, if you won, would come to your house to give you a giant check. Yes, if you sent in a chance to win their sweepstakes, it came here. They would hire High School kids to sort the requests. How do I know? I was one of those kids. The envelopes were already opened and you got trays full of them and had to go through and sort. Magazine order form, the jackpot entries, notes and pictures (ex. "We are newly married, see our picture enclosed, we could really use the money.") and even cash. The company was founded in 1953 and started the sweepstakes in 1967 to increase magazine sales. I saw pictures of people going into the structure on a website and I thought it could use a cache. When I got to the area I decided to put a cache out here. I drove around and a car dealer is storing cars around back. Didnt put another cache over there, like planned, because I figured wandering back there would sketchy. I wish the fountain still worked, it was beautiful.
