The letterbox is not at the published coordinates, but it is very close nearby. Final coordinates can be solved like a simple multi-cache. There is no need to cross the fence onto the interstate right-of-way. You can park in front of the Historical Marker at the published coordinates.

The historical marker describes the Hispano New Mexicans in the US Civil War (note the sign continues on the back side). Take a moment to read about the interesting history that occured here in the Apache Canyon.

I carved this stamp for a letterboxing event called "Love From a Distance: Spread Hearts, Not Covid" which was held virtually in January 2021. The idea of this was to bring together our community and share the love of letterboxing, stamp making, and the outdoors, while apart and keeping safe distances. All of the stamps for this event include a heart and have the theme of sharing love. I thought it would be fun to share some hearts with the Geocaching community as well.
If you would like to place an image of the stamp in your own personal logbook, you will need to bring your own ink, as there is none in the box. I would suggest red.
