This area used to be surrounded by market gardening. The reserve is named after the big trees - Tilia europaea, that were protected during the residential development in 2002. The developers, Brian Gillman Ltd, wanted to market The Limes subdivision as a haven to come home to after a day at work - hence the name of the adjacent street.
This geocache is the first one we have made with the help of our 10 yearold grandson.
