Welcome to Yan Yean Reservoir! Home to Melbourne's oldest water supply.
There are wetlands, an old pump house and a homestead to explore. Wander around this pretty park, roll down the grassy hills, have a picnic, soak in the view or find a geocache. The park can get busy on the weekend and warmer months.
You are now at one of the higher points around this side of the reservoir. You can see the remanants of a building nearby, a concrete slab etc.
At GZ you will find what appears to be an old garden bed, surround by pieces of the local stone. (There is no need to move any of these stones.)
Traffic is not so busy here but vehicles do appear suddenly due to the surrounding bushes, so you will still need to practice stealth and please cover the cache back up as you found it.
Please note: Yan Yean Reservior is only accessible at certain times of the day. Gate times are posted at the entrance.
