A relatively obscure single track near Fallowfield Park.
There is a story here...This area used to be popular with dog walkers and off-road bikers. Before the 416, these trails used to connect with the NCC trails off of Moodie Drive. The 416 and the new NCC bike path between Lytle and Fallowfield Park wrecked the best trails, but the die hards use the remaining ones, and a few new ones have popped up.
Anyway, here's the story...When I first moved out to Barrhaven, I was exploring this area on my mountain bike, it was a bright sunny day (I had my sunglasses on), I was probably going a little fast for my novice abilities, the trail took a sharp turn, and all of a sudden it got too dark to see. Next thing I new I was picking myself up off the ground, and my bike out of a cedar tree.
The cache is in this cedar grove. Even on the brightest day it is dark and cool in this grove, so much so that there is no ground cover.
