One of my fondest memories from my childhood is what my family called "Game Night". It was a weekly event where my family would get together to play board games. My father built a special closet with floor to ceiling shelves which held stacks of all sorts of different games. The closet was filled with roll and move games, strategy games, educational games, and more.
We all had our favorite games so, to be fair, we would take turns choosing which games to play each week. Hanging on the wall of the den was a leader board where we tracked the results of each week's gameplay. At the end of the year, my father would tabulate the results and award prizes (more games, of course) to the best players for each game. It was competitive but we always had fun and shared many laughs.
Enough of my walk down memory lane. Now I'd like to play a game with you. I've chosen a game to play from my game closet below. This closet is not as elaborate as the one my father built but it works for me and holds some of my favorite games. Once you figure out what game we are playing, you will have the key to solving the puzzle below. The puzzle is nothing fancy; just a simple game of substitution where the only math involved is addition. You math whizzes out there might think the parenthesis mean multiplication but they don't.
