READ THIS FIRST! The parking area and cache are in Cleveland Heights. If you explore farther, you will enter East Cleveland. I strongly suggest you begin at the trailhead listed as a waypoint. You should be on the west side, Superior Road side, of the creek, which is Dugway Brook. Stay on the wide, main trail until you cross the small ravine on your left.
You can stop reading here, and go find the cache. But the interesting stuff is next.
I have another hide near here. Recently, a new cacher named Catrkenny contacted me asking if a cache they found was mine. This person sent a photo. The photo was an ammo can. No, that is not my hide. But it got my attention. I've been caching since 2003. I recall other hides in this park. I communicated with Catrkenny and got directions to where that can was located. It took just a bit of searching but I came up with it. It was a 50 cal. ammo can. It had a card and one item inside. No logbook. I took it with me. I searched archived hides and found one that fit the location. It was hidden by a cacher called G&TB. That person now lives out west and goes by GrumpyGid. I contacted that person. They were amazed it was still there. I went back to the spot where I found the old cache and took coordinates. I believe this was an old hide called Homestead. GCJ7WM It was archived back in 2010. The ammo can has been sitting quietly for ten years. This is that same ammo can. I cleaned it an painted the inside help stop some rust. I wanted to return it to the same spot Catrkenny, and later myself, found it. However, that spot is too close to another geocache. This is in the same general area. A beautiful spot in the city. This cache has returned from the archives.
