Memory Tricks - PIN numbers
Agents must have a superb memory because there is a lot that they must retain in their head at any given time. They must remember details of their cover story. To be convincing, a spy often has to seem knowledgeable on a variety of unfamiliar topics. They must remember conversations since it might not be possible to take notes while in the middle of an operation. Sometimes the place where a spy meets their agent won’t allow for a recording device. They will have to store their briefing in their brain until they can debrief later. A spy might get a peek into a top-secret area and should be able to recall details later. A spy will meet many people, any of whom might be important to an operation. They need to be able to memorize those contacts.
Spies have passwords to remember. Not all passwords are long. Some might only be a four digit PIN number or even as small as a three digit lock code. A good way to remember the number might be by association with familiar things or places.
An agent has left you a secure box. You will need to be able to get the lock open. She has used a memory technique of associating some of her favorite places around the state of Virginia with the numbers. Use the Certitude Checker to verify the three-digit code and obtain the final coordinates.
