The Central Science Park is not just a science and technology town. There is a "Shui Horitou Park" in the park. It is composed of three flood detention ponds with Zhongke No. 4, No. 5, and No. 6, located at the bottom of Keyuan Road, AU Optronics and Taiwan On the east side of Corning, this soil and water conservation demonstration area provides facilities such as large-scale event green space, parking lot, trails and bicycles, music square, peanut square, cherry blossom event square area, and a viewing platform overlooking the Taichung area. 中部科學園區不是只是科技重鎮，園區內一座「水堀頭公園」，由中科編號滯4、滯5及滯6等3個滯洪池組合而成，地點於科園路底，友達光電公司及台灣康寧公司的東側，這座水保示範區提供大型活動綠地、停車場、步道兼自行車、音樂廣場、花生廣場、櫻花活動廣場區及眺望大台中地區的觀景平台等設施，是園區員工、地方民眾常探訪的綠色場域。
