ORION
Orion is one of the largest and most recognizable of the constellations. It is viewable around the world and has been mentioned by Homer, Virgil, and even the Bible, making it perhaps the most famous constellation. Orion was a massive, supernaturally gifted hunter who was the son of Poseidon. It was said he regularly hunted with Artemis (Goddess of the Hunt) on the island of Crete, and that he was killed either by her bow, or by the sting of the great scorpion who later became the constellation Scorpius.
There are 17 geocaches located on the paved portion of Hwy 107. This road can be busy at times so be sure to pull off the narrow road entirely. Parking is NOT available, so some walking may be required. Parking near the geocache is steep. You are looking for matching small containers, hidden all the same, near the same host. There is room for small trade items. Bring your own pen to sign the log. This should be an easy PnG series taking less than 2 hours to complete. Watch for cactus and other pointy plants.
Bonus: There is a survey marker near the geocache.
Happy Hunting!
