Penang was awarded the "Longest Painted Malaysian Flag" by The Malaysian Book of Records in 2003.
In 2015, 300 members of the Young Muslim Sports Club (YMSC) and other associations, as well as residents gave the flag a fresh coat of paint. It took them about six hours and 3,000 liters of paint.
The Malaysian Flag is a 541m-long mural, which is 3.3m in height. It has maintained its record as the country’s longest Jalur Gemilang since September 2003.
A 350m-long Penang flag was later painted beside the Jalur Gemilang in 2007.
Where the cache is located is the start of the Penag flag (you can see the yellow to your right) which connects right to the Malaysian Flag. Take a walk down the sidewalk to see the rest.
