This cache is a lockbox, which is upstairs over the railing on the south side of the Wetlands Education Center. You'll need to wander all the way down the wetlands boardwalk to calculate the lock combination.

One of the top-rated tourist attractions and the city's shining gems, Cattail Marsh is no ordinary marsh. A revolutionary idea and process, the Beaumont Public Utilities Department developed a way to turn reclaimed wastewater into a beautiful wildlife habitat with boardwalks and miles of hiking and biking trails. This innovative water recycling system attracted the interest of environmentalists and wildlife professionals across the state.
Any time of year you can spot over 250 species of birds and our native gators, and during spring and fall migration, you can see up to 400 different species! Be sure to check out the Wetlands Education Center, which always has free reference books, a telescope, binoculars and disc golf to borrow plus weekly yoga classes, nature screenings, photography workshops, kids crafts, and van tours.
Cattail Marsh is located within Tyrrell Park, which boasts six outdoor attractions in one, the free Beaumont Botanical Gardens, the municipal golf course, Tyrell Park horse stables, an archery range, disc golf course, and course, Cattail Marsh. Be sure to check their opening hours which change seasonally.
