It's time for our annual Cache-In-Trash-Out event in Tatum, Texas. It's mighty hard to believe, but this will be our 9th Annual Tatum CITO Event.
The City of Tatum appreciates all those that participated last year, and more than welcome all that want to attend this year.
What? 9th Annual Tatum CITO Event
When? April 24 2021
Where? Action Automotive(posted coordinates)
What Time? 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
What to Bring? Gloves, trash grabber, & chair
We will start meeting at the posted coordinates around 9:30 a.m. and begin our civic duty at 10:00 on that Saturday morning. We will take a group photo of all our trashy friends at 11:30. At that point, everyone can collect their door prizes while our homemade Pecan Pie is being served. Yep, pecan pie! (If anyone wants a different kind of pie, please post a note about what kind your bringing!)
Attending this CITO event will earn geocachers a CITO souvenir as well as qualify cachers to log a locationless cache (GC8NEAT) owned by geocaching.com. (Please see the cache description page for GC8NEAT to see logging requirements.)
After the pie, the real fun starts. The Tatum crew will have a few new caches placed that are sure to be entertaining. We can caravan together to collect these caches and those that desire, can go caching on their own. If it works out right, we will all get to share the FTF on these new caches.
Please invite fellow cachers, muggles, aunts, uncles, young-uns, neighbors, and whoever else you can think of. Door prizes will be available to all those that log a "will attend" with a head-count of how many that will be in their party.
As usual, whoever is Found Traveling Farthest from their home coordinates will receive a special prize and get to claim the FTF accolades for the event. In the event of a tie, we'll make up some kind of tie-breaker.
This is an outdoor event and everyone is asked to practice proper personal distancing, wash hands frequently, & wear face covering/mask.
As much as we want to see everyone there, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE STAY HOME IF YOU HAVE ANY COVID-19 SYMPTOMS OR HAVE RECENTLY BEEN EXPOSED TO ANYONE THAT HAD SYMPTOMS!
