This cache is located in the East Risdon State Reserve, on the shores of Shag Bay, which is now an International Union for Conservation of Nature protected area.
This wasn't always the case, it was once the sight of a fertiliser factory and near to the gz you can see remnants of this. Unfortunately two workers died as a result of the boiler exploding and destroying the factory in 1915.
It's a peaceful spot, part of the extension of walking tracks in the area.
