Geocache Description:

THE CACHE

This place was one of my favourite local discoveries of 2020.

I had always wondered what lay beyond the signs proclaiming 'The Links' at the roundabout on Camden Valley Way. Probably just a couple of streets with houses I thought, and with no reason to ever venture down there I left it at that for a long time. But one day I got curious and drove down - this small estate is more extensive than I realised and also includes this lovely peaceful reserve - a true hidden gem in Macarthur. The reserve borders what appears to be some farmland on what sits a lake. There are resident swans here and ducks, and would you believe that when I first scouted out this location I saw a pelican!!! I couldn't believe my eyes, but luckily I have photographic proof! It is a beautiful spot, especially at sunset. There is also a nice modern set of playground equipment for the junior cachers. I hope you enjoy this spot as much as I do.

You are looking for a well camoflaged 180ml clip and lock container. Please refer to the hint if you are having trouble as this should help narrow it down. There is only minimal room for a couple of small swaps and possibly a TB and when hidden I have included a couple of small pieces of SWAG for the Geo Kids. Trade fairly and enjoy!

There is no need to cross the fence, this is within the reserve and the spot should be obvious.

Please ensure the cache remains well covered by its camo once done.

THE SERIES - EXPLORE MACARTHUR

Anyone who knows me well enough knows I absolutely love exploring and adventuring - one of my favourite things to do is discover new places! And this is one of the things I love about Geocaching and Orienteering, which is another pastime of mine! For some time now, I have been thinking about creating a family friendly cache series around Macarthur which will allow other cachers to explore some nice spots in our area and find a cache while playing with their kids or catching up with their family and friends. Or just enjoy while out for a walk or a caching adventure perhaps! Whatever brings you here, I hope you enjoy! Wherever possible, I intend to hide containers which are small or above in size so that SWAG can be included for the Geo Kids.

Feedback is welcome via message :-)

Cheers, Meritonnn.
